
Susan Susanke, Vice President
Susan Susanke joined Sustainable Energy Strategies, Inc. in 1999 and has more than twenty years of experience in the field of environmental sustainability. Ms. Susanke provides grant assistance and managerial services for SESI. She works to ensure successful project coordination and completion throughout the grant proposal process, including grant writing, ensuring compliance with federal level reporting requirements, and providing a link between clients and grant partners. Additionally, as head of the operations staff for the National Biodiesel Foundation, she coordinates meetings, fundraising efforts and day-to- day office operations. Ms Susanke's focused efforts on ethanol include market and infrastructure development, advertising and public relations and outreach and education regarding alternative fuel opportunities. During her time at SESI, she has worked closely with the Maryland Grain Producers Utilization Board, National Biodiesel Board, National Biodiesel Foundation, Department of Transportation, Department of Energy, Propane Education Research Council, Missouri Soybean Association and Maryland Soybean Association.
Ms. Susanke graduated from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration. Following graduation, she spent two years in the Peace corps working to stabilize and improve living conditions in villages in Niger. Ms. Susanke has provided grant guidance and executive services for the Environmental Protection Agency. Susan holds grant certifications in Grant Recipients’ Track from Grants Management Certification Program (2108), Management Concepts, Tysons, VA and the Grant Pass-Through Track Certificate from Grants Management Certificate Program (2016), Management Concepts, Tysons, VA
