Sustainable Energy Strategies is tasked to research and manage the Maryland Biofuels Task Force, lead by the Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition.  The Maryland Biofuels Task Force (MDBTF) Organizing Committee includes stakeholders from industry and nongovernmental organizations with expertise in alternative fuel production and use, environmental and energy policy, vehicle technology, fuel distribution, and agriculture.
The task force’s mission is to identify challenges, gather input from stakeholders, and develop a roadmap and “goalkeeper scorecard” to integrate biofuels into Maryland’s current state agency economic, energy, and environmental sustainability policies, plans, and future strategies.
"We are please to be an integral part of this effort. I don't believe Maryland has looked at the benefits of biofuels to the ag economy, the consumer, and to achieve the state's decarbonization goals.
The efforts of the task force should be completed by the end of the year " mentioned Jill Hamilton, President Sustainable Energy Strategies, Inc.

Burl Haigwood & Doug Durante Book Release

May 30, 2023
SESI President Jill Hamilton attended the release of a new book by Burl Haigwood & Doug Durante. "Gasolinegate: What's in Our Gasoline is Killing Us" A must-read for anyone who cares about the environment, the price of gasoline, & how many pounds of toxic emissions we ingest daily. Purchase the book on amazon here: Gasolinegate: What's in Our Gasoline is Killing Us

Do you know what’s in your gasoline?
Our addiction to gasoline threatens our lives as we breathe toxic carcinogens in our fuel. For over 100 years, the oil industry duped the public and collaborated with the federal government to protect its gasoline market. As a result, consumers waste billions of dollars, public health is compromised, and the nation remains captive to foreign oil.
Authors Burl Haigwood and Doug Durante tell this story based on over 30 years of working to champion clean fuels to reduce our dependence on oil. With first-hand accounts from Congressional leaders, entrepreneurs, and clean energy supporters, they take you inside the process of government, legislation and regulation, and how it failed the public.
